Description
Buy the Japanese Tohoku Special Box from Obsidia TCG, a Pokémon Center Tohoku set released in 2025 when the store was renewed. Like its Hiroshima and Fukuoka companions, it pairs one regional Pikachu promo with deck accessories rather than booster packs.
What’s in the Japanese Tohoku Special Box
- 1 Tohoku’s Pikachu promo card (holo)
- 64 deck sleeves
- 1 deck case
- 1 long card box for storing cards
You can check the contents on the official Pokémon Card Game page, which announced the Tohoku, Hiroshima and Fukuoka boxes together on 13 June 2025.
About Tohoku’s Pikachu
Tohoku is the north-east region of Japan’s main island, and the promo’s artwork draws on local culture, which makes it a lovely reminder for anyone who has travelled there. The card is printed in Japanese, so it is a collector’s piece first, and the matching accessories mean you can start using the set the day it arrives. For a Pikachu fan who already owns the usual promos, a regional card like this one is a welcome surprise.
How the Box Was Sold
In Japan the three Special BOX sets were first offered by lottery on Pokémon Center Online, and the official page notes they may also appear in Pokémon Center stores later. That limited first release is one reason collectors outside Japan look out for them.
Part of a Regional Trio
Pokémon Center Hiroshima and Pokémon Center Fukuoka received their own boxes in the same announcement, each with its own regional Pikachu promo and the same accessory line-up. Collecting all three gives you a matching set of 2025 Special BOX releases, and our Special Location Boxes category is the place to find the others.
