What’s in the Japanese OP-08 Booster Box
- 24 sealed OP-08 Two Legends booster packs
- 6 Japanese cards per pack, 144 cards in total
- 125 card types plus 1 DON!! card
- 6 Leaders, 45 Commons, 30 Uncommons, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares, 2 Secret Rares and 6 Special cards
Rayleigh and Three Pirate Crews
The official Japanese OP-08 page highlights Silvers Rayleigh, the “Dark King”, whose card lowers an opposing Character’s power and can then KO a Character with 3000 power or less. Popular themes get new Leaders too: the Whitebeard Pirates, the Animal Kingdom Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates. Many new Characters also appear in colours they hadn’t used before. Pack contents are random, so no specific card is guaranteed.
Japanese or English?
The Japanese box arrived almost four months before the English one and uses smaller six-card packs printed in Japanese. Collectors often prefer the original printing, while players heading to English-language events usually stick with English cards, so check event rules before you play.
Opening Tips
Rayleigh is the card most fans hope to see, but the three new crew Leaders are where deck building starts. Group Whitebeard, Animal Kingdom and Big Mom cards separately as you open, sleeve the Special cards and Secret Rares straight away, and trade spares for the crew you want.
