From Sprigatito to Meowscarada ex
Sprigatito evolves into Floragato and then Meowscarada, so this deck teaches one of the game’s core ideas: building up an Evolution line turn by turn. Meowscarada ex is a Pokémon ex, which means it hits hard but gives up two Prize cards when Knocked Out, as Bulbapedia’s guide to Pokémon ex explains. Getting your Stage 2 into play safely is the key skill this starter set helps you practise. Evolution decks reward patience, and seeing a Basic Pokémon grow into its final Evolution over a game is one of the most satisfying moments for new players.
A Japanese Deck with Collector Appeal
Sprigatito has been a fan favourite since Scarlet and Violet, and although Japanese cards aren’t allowed in English-language tournaments, Japanese starter decks have a loyal following among collectors. Choose this one if you like a deck that builds up over a few turns; the Eevee ex and Zoroark ex starter sets offer different styles for friends to battle against. The box is compact and well suited to a birthday or a first step into the hobby, and Paldea fans will recognise the whole line.
