Deck Highlights
Mega Gengar ex hits for 230 damage with two Darkness Energy and can move one of its Energy to a Benched Pokémon. The ACE SPEC Prime Catcher switches your own Benched Pokémon into the Active Spot and drags up one of your opponent’s. Bulbapedia’s card list for this set also shows an illustration rare Haunter, two Boss’s Orders and four Lillie’s Determination, so there are useful Trainers to keep once you build your own decks.
Japanese or English?
Cards from this set appear in the English Phantasmal Flames expansion. Japanese cards are not tournament-legal in English play, but a starter set is ideal for learning at home, and Japanese decks are prized by collectors. Remember that a Mega Evolution Pokémon ex gives up three Prize cards when Knocked Out, so plan your turns around keeping Mega Gengar ex safe. Gengar fans will also enjoy having the Ghost favourite in its Mega form on the table.
