About MEGA Dream ex
Bulbapedia’s MEGA Dream ex page notes that each pack holds 10 cards, with one guaranteed Pokémon ex or Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, and each box holds 10 packs. The set also introduced the Mega attack rare: full-art Mega Evolution Pokémon ex drawn in a pop art style. AR is the Japanese code for the rarity known in English as Illustration Rare, used for full-art Pokémon cards other than Pokémon ex.
Getting the Most from Your Lot
Fifty ARs give you a strong head start on the illustration section of a MEGA Dream ex binder. Because duplicates are part of every lot, you will also have spares to trade with friends or at your local shop to fill the gaps. Japanese cards are not tournament-legal in English play, but AR cards are collected for their artwork, so this is a lot for binders rather than decks. Sorting them by Pokémon type or artist is a relaxing way to spend an evening, and spotting the duplicates is easy that way.
