Description

What’s in the Japanese Battle Partners Booster Box

  • 30 sealed Japanese Battle Partners booster packs
  • 5 cards per pack, 150 cards in the box
  • Packaging options: Shrink or No Shrink

Set facts come from the Bulbapedia Battle Partners entry. Cards are randomly inserted, so no specific card is guaranteed.

Trainers and Their Partners

The four pack artworks pair famous trainers with their Pokémon: N and Zoroark, Lillie and Clefairy, Hop and Zacian, and Iono and Bellibolt. Those partnerships appear as N’s Zoroark ex, Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Hop’s Zacian ex and Iono’s Bellibolt ex, with Volcanion ex, Salamence ex, Mamoswine ex and Dudunsparce ex also in the 132-card set. Trainer’s Pokémon were a fan favourite in older sets, so their return gave collectors plenty of character-led art to chase.

Japanese Battle Partners or English Journey Together?

Journey Together is the English version built from these cards, so the Japanese Battle Partners Booster Box suits collectors who want the original Japanese printing. Japanese cards can’t be played at English-language tournaments. Compare with our English Pokémon products if you’re undecided, or read our Pokémon TCG guides for more background.

Some Japanese retailers, including the Pokémon Center, strip shrink wrap at purchase to discourage resale, so you can choose a box with its film (Shrink) or without (No Shrink).
