What’s in the Chinese Vivid Portrayals Eternatus Box
- 30 sealed Indigo (靛) booster packs, set code CS2b
- 5 Simplified Chinese cards in each pack, 150 cards in all
- A Reverse Holofoil or Rare-or-better card in each pack
You can check the pack format on Bulbapedia’s Vivid Portrayals page, which also lists the set’s subsets and cover Pokémon. Pack contents are random.
Indigo vs Obsidian
Vivid Portrayals was the fourth Simplified Chinese set, with 286 cards split across two subsets. Obsidian (CS2a) shows Gigantamax Charizard, while Indigo (CS2b) puts the legendary Eternatus front and centre. Because the cards in each subset differ, set builders usually buy one box of each to work towards the full list.
Why Choose the Eternatus Box
Charizard boxes tend to get the attention, so the Indigo box is a smart pick for collectors who want the rest of the set or simply prefer Galar’s legendary. Thirty small packs mean a long opening session, and the Simplified Chinese text gives your binder a look English Sword & Shield packs can’t. These cards are made for the mainland China market, so they’re mainly bought for collecting rather than for UK tournament play. Eternatus is the legendary at the heart of Pokémon Sword and Shield, so the box also makes a thoughtful gift for fans of the Galar games.
