About Riftbound Origins
Origins was Riot’s first physical trading card game, with a card pool of over 300 cards. It introduced the core rules every later set builds on: a Champion Legend, a main deck, a 12-card rune deck and battles over shared battlefields. The launch Champion Decks were built around Jinx, Viktor and Lee Sin. Riot’s getting started page covers the basics if you’d like to learn the game.
Who It’s For
The Chinese Riftbound Origins Advanced Box suits collectors who want the first set in Chinese, fans of the original champions and anyone building a sealed Riftbound shelf in more than one language. Because Origins has the largest card pool so far, there’s plenty to sort and trade. Our Riftbound booster box guide compares every set.
Origins in Chinese or English?
The game is identical in both languages, so the choice comes down to how you’ll use the cards. English Origins boxes suit players at UK events who want to read every card at a glance. A Chinese Origins box suits collectors who enjoy the artwork, want the set in the language of its first release, or are building a shelf of sealed boxes from different regions. In China, Riot publishes Riftbound with its partner Shining Soul.
