Buy the Chinese Primordial Arts CS3a Slim Box from Obsidia TCG and open slim packs from the Venusaur half of Primordial Arts (洪荒演武 茂). Released in mainland China on 17 November 2023, it was the third booster series in the Simplified Chinese Sword & Shield line.
What’s in the Chinese Primordial Arts CS3a Slim Box
- Sealed Primordial Arts 茂 (CS3a) slim booster packs
- 5 Simplified Chinese cards per pack
- 1 foil card in every pack
The pack format is confirmed on Pokémon China’s Primordial Arts announcement. That page doesn’t give a pack count for slim boxes, so please email sales@obsidiatcg.co.uk if you’d like us to confirm it before you buy.
Single Strike Highlights
Venusaur VMAX fronts the CS3a version, and its packs may contain Single Strike cards. Pokémon China picks out Single Strike Urshifu V and VMAX, plus Single Strike Energy, which only gives its bonus when attached to a Single Strike Pokémon. If you enjoy hard-hitting Single Strike decks, or simply love Venusaur, this is the half of the set to open.
Building the Full Set
The Chinese Primordial Arts CS3a Slim Box covers the Venusaur half only. Its partner, CS3b, is the Blastoise version with Rapid Strike cards, and we stock it in both slim and jumbo boxes. Opening both halves is the way to finish the Simplified Chinese set, and the two boxes look smart displayed side by side on a collector’s shelf. Because cards are randomly inserted, a few duplicates are normal, and spares are useful for trading with other collectors.
