Buy the Chinese Venusaur Jumbo Booster Box from Obsidia TCG and open the Venusaur half of Primordial Arts (洪荒演武), the third Simplified Chinese set of the Sword & Shield era. Pokémon China released it on 17 November 2023 in two subsets: Overgrow (茂, CS3a) with Venusaur VMAX on the cover, and Torrent (激, CS3b) led by Blastoise.

Single Strike Focus
The Overgrow subset leans on the Single Strike battle style. Alongside Venusaur V and Venusaur VMAX, Pokémon China highlights Single Strike Urshifu V and VMAX as the main attackers, backed by Single Strike Energy, which adds damage when attached to a Single Strike Pokémon. Cards are randomly inserted, so no particular card is promised. According to Bulbapedia, Primordial Arts collects cards from Sword & Shield sets up to Fusion Strike, and Pokémon China released a Primordial Arts V Starter Deck on the same day for players who want a ready-made deck.
Venusaur or Blastoise?
Choose the Chinese Venusaur Jumbo Booster Box for Grass-type fans and Single Strike cards, or our Blastoise box for Rapid Strike. Simplified Chinese sets also print Reverse Holofoil versions of their common, uncommon and rare cards, which gives collectors extra variants to chase in every pack. With five foils in each of the six packs, the box holds 30 foils in all.
Collecting Tips
Sort each 25-card pack by type as you open it and sleeve the V and VMAX cards straight away. Keeping the Reverse Holofoils on their own binder pages makes it easy to see which Overgrow variants are still missing.
