Description
Buy an XY Evolutions Booster Pack from Obsidia TCG and open a sealed pack from one of the most nostalgic English sets of the XY era. Evolutions arrived in late 2016 to celebrate 20 years of the Pokémon TCG, bringing the look of the original Base Set back to modern cards.
What’s in the XY Evolutions Booster Pack
- 1 sealed English Pokémon TCG: XY—Evolutions booster pack
- Randomly inserted cards from the 113-card set (108 main cards plus 5 secret cards)
Why Evolutions Is Special
Evolutions reprints and adapts cards from Base Set, Jungle and early vending-machine promos, keeping the classic card layout while updating HP, attacks and abilities for the XY rules. That means familiar artwork for Charizard, Blastoise, Venusaur and friends, alongside Mega Charizard-EX, Mega Blastoise-EX, Mega Venusaur-EX, Dragonite-EX and BREAK cards drawn in the retro style. Serebii’s Evolutions set list shows every card in the set.
Who It’s For
An XY Evolutions Booster Pack suits collectors who grew up with Base Set, players who enjoy vintage-style art, and anyone building a sealed XY collection. It also makes a memorable gift for a fan who remembers the late 1990s cards, because the artwork on many of the cards will look instantly familiar.
If you plan to keep it sealed, store it flat, away from sunlight and damp, and handle it by the edges so the foil wrapper doesn’t crease. If you’d rather open it, sleeve any holo cards straight away: the retro-style foils scratch easily, and Evolutions holos are favourites for binder pages next to their Base Set originals.
