Miraidon ex and the Start of an Era
Miraidon, the legendary Pokémon of Pokémon Violet, leads this half of the release, while Scarlet ex centres on Koraidon. Bulbapedia notes that Scarlet ex, Violet ex and the three ex Starter Sets were combined to create the English Scarlet & Violet base set, so this box is the Japanese starting point of the whole series. Opening it alongside a Scarlet ex box is a neat way to compare the two legendaries side by side, and it makes a thoughtful gift for any Paldea fan.
Japanese Edition and Packaging
Japanese cards can’t be used in English-language tournaments, but they are a favourite with collectors who like to keep sets in their original language.
