Description
Buy the Chinese Primordial Arts Poké Ball from Obsidia TCG for a Poké Ball you can open, fill and keep. Pokémon China released it as the Poké Ball Gift Box: Pikachu Legendary Celebration (精灵球礼盒：皮卡丘传奇庆典) on 8 December 2023.
What’s in the Chinese Primordial Arts Poké Ball
- 1 Poké Ball storage case
- 1 random Pikachu foil card
- 1 random Legendary Pokémon foil card
- 1 random Primordial Arts (洪荒演武) booster pack, 25 cards
These are the contents on the official Pokémon China listing. Primordial Arts is the Simplified Chinese Sword & Shield set released on 17 November 2023, in Overgrow and Torrent versions, and each 25-card pack includes one Pokémon V.
A 25th Anniversary Counterpart
Bulbapedia describes these gift boxes as the Simplified Chinese counterpart of the 25th anniversary Celebrations releases. The Pikachu card can be one of several, including Pikachu VMAX, Surfing Pikachu VMAX and Flying Pikachu VMAX, while the Legendary card comes from a pool that includes Lugia, Ho-Oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Reshiram and Zekrom. Both cards are random, so no specific one is guaranteed.
Poké Ball or Great Ball?
The same gift box was also made in a Great Ball design. This listing is the classic red-and-white Poké Ball, which makes a fun shelf piece once the cards are out.
Who It’s For
It’s a playful gift for younger fans: something to hold, two foil cards to find and a big pack to open. Collectors tracking the anniversary Pikachu cards across different languages will find it useful too, and the empty ball is handy for storing dice, coins or damage counters.
