Description
Buy the Chinese Shining Synergy Psyduck Jumbo Box from Obsidia TCG and open a Sun & Moon set that was never printed in English. Shining Synergy (交相辉映), which we also list as Shining Together, was the second Simplified Chinese Pokémon TCG set and went on sale in mainland China on 18 January 2023.
What’s in the Chinese Shining Synergy Psyduck Jumbo Box
- 24 sealed Shining Synergy booster packs from the Shower (沐) subset, set code CSM2a
- 25 Simplified Chinese cards per pack, 600 cards in total
- 1 Pokémon-GX in every 25-card pack
The pack and card counts match Bulbapedia’s Shining Synergy page, which also confirms the guaranteed Pokémon-GX. Other cards are random, so duplicates are possible.
Inside the Shower Subset
Shining Synergy is split into three subsets, each with its own TAG TEAM cover. Shower focuses on Water, Lightning and Metal Pokémon, and its card list includes TAG TEAM cards such as Blastoise & Piplup-GX and Magikarp & Wailord-GX. The set gathers cards from the remaining Japanese Sun & Moon expansions, and every Common, Uncommon and Rare also comes in a Reverse Holofoil version.
Why Pick the Jumbo Format?
Shining Synergy came in two pack sizes: 5-card packs boxed in thirties, and these 25-card jumbo packs boxed in twenty-fours. Big packs make for a slower, more satisfying opening, and the GX in each one keeps every pack interesting. Simplified Chinese cards are made for the mainland China market, so most UK buyers open them for their binders rather than for tournament decks.
