About the Set
Phantasmal Flames focuses mainly on Fire- and Darkness-type Pokémon. Mega Charizard X ex and Mega Gengar ex front the box art, with Mega Heracross ex and Mega Lopunny ex also joining the battle, and the ultra rare cards show Mega Evolution Pokémon ex in detailed art, sometimes with silhouettes of their original forms. Our Mega Charizard X ex guide covers the set’s headline card.
ETB or Booster Packs?
An Elite Trainer Box suits players who want sleeves, Energy and dice alongside their packs, and collectors who like a sturdy box to store the set in. If you only want to open cards, single packs or a booster box are the simpler route; if you’d like the Charcadet promo and accessories too, the ETB is the one to pick. The 40 Energy cards and six-divider box also make it a tidy home for the cards you pull, and the player’s guide helps newer Trainers learn the Mega Evolution mechanics.
