Description
Buy the Chinese Shadow of Glory Booster Box from Obsidia TCG and open Pokémon China’s Sword & Shield enhancement pack 暗影夺辉. Released in mainland China on 2 August 2024, it is a compact set built around Hisuian Pokémon, with Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR as its cover star.
What’s in the Chinese Shadow of Glory Booster Box
- 20 sealed enhancement packs
- 6 cards per pack, including 2 foil cards
- 120 Simplified Chinese cards in total
Both figures come from Pokémon China’s release page, which lists the 20-pack box alongside the single packs.
Set Highlights
Hisuian Zoroark V and VSTAR lead the set, joined by Hisuian Goodra V and VSTAR and Hisuian Electrode V. Pokémon China also highlights Regigigas, plus Radiant Charizard and Radiant Blastoise. Regigigas’s Ability depends on having the other Regi Pokémon in play, while Radiant Charizard’s attack gets cheaper as your opponent takes Prize cards. Cards are randomly inserted, so no particular card is guaranteed.
Enhancement Pack vs Main Set
Enhancement packs (强化包) are smaller sets that Pokémon China releases between its main expansions. With two foils in every pack, a Chinese Shadow of Glory Booster Box is a quick way to fill a binder page with shiny cards, and it sits neatly next to main sets from the same year such as Brave Stars and Shadow of the Blue Sea. Twenty packs with two foils each give you 40 foils across the box.
Collecting Tips
Group the Hisuian Pokémon and the Regi family on their own binder pages as you open the box, and sleeve the VSTAR and Radiant cards first. It keeps the set tidy and shows at a glance which cards you still need.
